When will I learn?

I only turned up to work about half an hour ago in the same T-shirt I wore yesterday, completely drunk, red eyes, red face, talking in a mock-sober slur.
I had to come clean and explain to the bosses I had stayed at a friends and overslept after I had blatently lied about missing my train in my drunken haze when I first woke up.
Went out for a couple of pints and ended up staying at a mates in london after a few more.

God help me.

To my advantage this is not a regular occurence. Other colleagues have been know to call in sick with hangovers.
I would have done the same if I had the presence of mind when I first woke up.

What am I doing here?

Apart from drinking a lot of water, what on earth can I do to escape the hell that I am in right now. Someone give me something to read, or a game, anything. I'm useless.

There is still 3 hours to go of this day and I'm not looking pretty. I've sobered up enough to notice how much I smell. My eyes look like peeled grapes and I have furry teeth.

you sound like my old boss he used to come in drunk alot. yuor not the only one who has done that at some point. in ways i think it wold have looked batter if you had of phoned in sick with some bull excuse rather than be in drunk at work.

in mine i get sacked for that, welli do have to look after people and that wold not be good lol.

i once came into a big meeting pissed i went home at 4am went to bed at 5am up at 7am calling boss sick and was told if i didnt appear i was sacked. so went in, was very nervous and still had the niht before make up on. ran out the room and thrwe up in the look next door to the meeting so i have an idea everyone heard. also alcelzer is crap. it just filled me with wind and made me sick.

It really is hanging on time for me now.

I work for a design agency as an account manager so I'm not in charge of anything mechanical or important luckily.
My bosses are understanding. It's a on-off.

I think it's important to make the effort, take it on the chin and turn up whatever state you're in.

However if I had woken up earlier I would have called in sick. I don't know why I came to work, I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing at the time.
I can not drink like I used to and I'm only 27. I seem to remain drunk for the majority of the next day. I think that is to my benefit today, that remaining alcahol has got me through the day.

my old boss came in drunk and slept in the store leaving me in charge. good and bad, bad cause i didnt get to go to the shop at least 3 times and good cause i still got to do nothing lol he fel asleep playing the playstation once and customers thought he was dead, had to kick him out upstairs.

alls good, least he knew how to have a good time while scarying the shit out of me.
