Evening all!

I am having a BBQ party thingy in a couple of weeks, and want to fill a few CDs with some choice tracks so I don't have to bother myself with such trivialites as picking albums when there's sausages to eat and beer to drink. Laughing

Recommend me a track that I like and put on the CDs, and you can be happy in the knowledge that myself and a group of chums are having fun at a party that you're not invited to! Razz

It's a pretty diverse age range (20 - 50), so no thrash metal/gansta rap etc. (and I have already chosen Agadoo as the comedy cheese record, so no need for any more of them.)

The sort of thing so far:

Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
We're Going to be Friends - Jack Johnson
I'm gonna be (500 miles) - The Proclaimers

The floors all yours...

Pretty much all of "Californication" by the RHCP is standard bbq music at our house.

But we are old, and like our classic rock music. Thumbs Up

Ta very much, but I need more! Come on peeps, give generously.

I've got all the Chilli Peppers' stuff, but the other choices are a bit of an unknown, so I'll grab them over the next week and try them on for size.

Bit of Damien Rice? Little bit depressing, but would probably fit the bill.

Dandy Warhols go well with anything.

R.E.M - Espcially their faster stuff like It's the End Of The World and Bad Day. Orange Crush too.

Any classic Oasis. Basically anything from Definitely Maybe will be wicked.

Smash Mouth - I'm A Believer/All Star/Walkin' on the Sun

Bit of The Killers? Listened to that album yesterday for the first time in 18 months, and realised it's still bloody good.

The Zutons - Another quality album, but the sound is bit of an 'aquired taste'. Confused

Some decent U2 singles always go down well.

Cheers guys. Keep them coming!

Just got back from a stag do at the big market in Newcastle, no air-conditioning in any of the bars, loud annoying music and piss warm beer. I gave up at 10.30 and got a taxi home, and am sitting here stone cold sober.

BBQs are so much better! Thumbs Up

Cream are class! I love them, quite under rated as a band (obviously not Clapton)
How about Status Quo, the younger generation attending will find it funny and enjoy it because of that whilst the older generation will be dancing spilling their pints all over the shop, hehe
How about Razorlight?
Madness?
(Chili peppers a deffinate, eveyrone likes them)

If its a summer BBQ then you NEED to get "Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar" in there.

I know its not "old mans pop" but its an awsome summer song.

Cool
