- You might have seen me talking about the bike crash on Boxhill.co.uk, so you can skip that part -

Urrgh, today has probably been the worst day ever of my life...

First it started with a narky head chef giving my a crazy amount of jipp, accusing me of not working hard enough, before going into the pastry room to drink malibu and chat. ****er..

Then, The big cheese of our catering establishment came in to visit us (to be read: Sack loads of people)

He sacked a couple of pot washers, the front of house girls and then worst of all, told me and my best mate of the last 9 years that we'd both have to compete against each other for our jobs..

Spencer, being the blinding bloke that he is, graciously told me he didn't mind going, even though it involved moving out, finding a new job and finding the money he'd need to go travelling like he's been dreaming of.

So i accepted, i - effectively - Sacked my best mate.. it was my decision whether we should decide there and then if he went or i did, or whether we should leave it to the boss to decide.. i was a coward, i was scared that spencer might just beat me to the post, so i accepted his early resignation.. i feel so ****ing **** about this..

Got home, only to hit the bottle a wee bit. Sort of defeating the object of me not drinking..

Got a phone call from Xbox customer support saying that one of their customer support advisors had complained about my bad language used.. ****ing ****y ****er..

During this annoying phone call (the bloke had the stereotypical USA accent) i get a knock at my door to be followed by
"Come quick, your brother's had an accident on his bike!.."

**** sake, so slammed the blower down. put on some random shoes (Both odd as luck would have it) and sprinted up the road.. Laurence in the back of an ambulance and his bike in a thousand bits in the middle of the road..

I'm stood flabberghasted at the sight.. that was laurences bike, if you've owned a bike you'll know what i mean..

Laurence came out of the ambulance, seemingly fine..
Unbelievably, when Laurence got asked what had happened and he said "Some **** pulled a u turn right infront of me!" (understandably)

The bloke too great offence to being called a ****.. and tried to kick off.. despite the fact he was one and nearly could have killed my brother. Unbelievable. Police had to hold back myself, brother and the driver and his passenger.. ****ing ****ers.. could've caved their heads in.

Anyway, some pictures of it all..

Before (obviously)

And some of the damage:

another

Final one

It's been vandilised before, and laurence poured money into it getting it back to normal..
A majority of his wages went on repairing, modifying and improving it. Like i said it was his bike

He's ok, just got a painful leg, but it's such a shame...

Oh, nearly forgot, got my 8month nephew round for the first time, he won't stop crying.. and won't sleep.. driving me nuts.. poor little guy.

Just thought i'd put it up here, might help me get over the worst day ever.

You boss sounds like a complete arse. Wonder if he has ever heard of employment law.

Sorry to see the bike in that state, it was lovely before.

Reference the boss: Go Citizens Advice, ACAS or some such thing. As a boss, we have to be quite correct when sacking people. The law is in favour of the employee. In a kitchen he is probably employing illegals. There's enough immigrants here as it is, let alone the illegal ones. Grass the bastard. A £5000 fine for each illegal he employs.

As for the accident: unlucky for your brother. Glad he is ok. Shame about the bike and all his work. Is he insured? Legal protection? If so let them do their stuff. A couple of witnesses would be handy. Wink

I think you will find it 35k for each occasion so if a illegal worked for 5 days he would be fined £25k.

in the real world it would be 5k , but theres a ton of illegals working in rusholme , raids occur the resturant closes for a day, next day its as if nothing has happened,

what really happened is that the resturant boss forgot to pay his 'protection fee' to the local council.

Lewis , losing your job isn't that bad, as new opportunities arise, I was having a lark on the south coast it was an ok job , but I had lots of riding buddies and it was a nice low crime place to be.

if I hadn't been sacked , I'd have never found this manchester job which pays more , has less work in areas I am weak in (but more work in areas I'm good at), pays more , has more holidays and values its employees (share + bonus scheme I was wondering why me pay cheque was so big last month due to bonuses).

maybe if you work for such a boss you should quietly look for a job behind his back , my job before my previous job I had the feeling he's sack me ater tex return season (looking at his past employee records all of them were sacked mid feb), I pre-empted him and left 4 weeks before tax return season, leaving him with 100s of tax returns to do , nobody qualified to do it, and he grovelled to me on the phone to come back. I said no, and found the plymouth job.

Unlucky mate, cheer up though, maybe your mate will go get a better job now.
Also, (you prob dont wanna hear this right now) you should try and curb your swearing during arguments (just something I picked up on). Someone said recently and I cant remember who ''If you're arguing a dispute, the person who swears will always lose''.
I'd agree with that, especially when you are dealing with shops & companies.
