erm, a CBR600F ... supposed to become a track bike, but still in a million-and-one bits at a mates garage
and a Ford Fiesta that died yesterday, and will be off the road for at least a week Sad

I was hoping to hire some different bikes for a short while, as a kind of extended test ride before I make a final decision on what "big bike" to get later in the year

If you have in your possession an 500cc motorcycle that you can do anything to and you cant find the bright side of the situation, you sir have the gaul to call yourself a biker. PFFT,

I say gooday!

Seriously though, why dont you actually have some fun on it, so maybe it is not your uber CBF500, but enjoy, you dont foot the bill so fuckit! Smile

It was the naked old model. We just didn't get on. Only thing I liked about it was the brakes TBH. Never seen so much rust on a bike it's age. Shocked

I suspect the problem is you aren't thrashing it hard enough.

It was an SH125.

Mmmmm.

Local place always give me their little XR125 crosser, it's quite good fun. But the SH was a drag when I had to ride it 20 miles home and 20 miles back in the next day, in a 70 limit. Neutral

My mate got a suzuki vanvan and he hated its guts Laughing

He binned it when some one cut him up:

He bent the forks and the calliper snapped off Laughing the thing is he dropped it at like 20mph if that.

The bastards charged him like £500 to get it fixed and now they are trying to sell it for £2000 and they are not telling any one about the damage cheeky c*nts.

He then went out and brought this Crying or Very sad :

when the bandit 6 went in for a warranty repair i was given a tmax.
and it was fine for a scooter,it did 100mph+ in comfort(the brakes were frighteningly bad)
on the other hand my brother who had just spent £9k on his new r1 with all the toys(first service) was given an mt03 as a loan bike by the dealer. My god what a shitty mess of a bike.too low,too slow, too ugly the list goes on.the same engine in a quad was much better.
take the hire/loan bikes as a lesson in looking after the bike you like otherwise you might get to ride a shitbox

lol
s'pose when your used to riding a bike with a tractor engine strapped to it, something with a real bike engine in it would seem a tad intimidating.
must be hard to find summit to match that 85bhp you're used to.
