what do you eat in the mornings before work to give you enough energy till dinner time, and involves little effort? Cereal/toast just tastes dry and yuck every single morning, has anyone tried those cereal bars? I can quite easily finish off left over pizza/curry etc in the mornings but I struggle with toast or cereal Shocked I often don't bother with anything but feel the consequences through the day.
Is it true nuts give you energy and gets your brain muscles working? hmmmm salted nuts sprinkled on cereal? Confused

ooh I think I tried one of those greek yogurts someone left in the fridge once, tasted like churned sweaty gorilla armpits although it might have been one of those bio friendly something or other yogurts.

I usually only give myself half hour to an hour tops (from the alarm going off) before I leave for work so quicker to make the better really.

handful of strawberries
handful of raspberries
1 banana
1 kiwi fruit
500ml of bio yoghurt
honey
some milk

bung it all in a blender and you get about 2 pints of very fruity smoothie which is high in energy and contains a excellent blast of vitamins.

Other mornings I'll have toasted irish soda bread (much nicer than your regular boring english bread) with butter, or wheaton bread toasted with butter or some cheese on toast. All served with a glass of fruit juice.

Or get out the forman grill and make a sausage sarnie!!!! Happy days and very filling.

Cereal bars are shite though in terms of a real breakfast!

A good tip in the morning, if your into nutrition, is to avoid a hot drink if your breakfast consists of fruit juice or anything high in nutrients because the hot drink destroys the vitamins from the fruit/juice etc when they mix in your stomach.

I tend to leave my coffee until I'm into work and use their time for my morning coffee Thumbs Up Laughing

sounds quite nice that actually, I might go buy a blender and try it later on.

What else makes a nice smoothie? Do you do yours in the morning or keep it in the fridge?

Depends how pressed I am for time, sometimes I bung all the fruit and ingredients in the night before but don't belnd it till the morning, then I just have one pint and seal the other in a container for the following day.

Apples don't blend well by the way!

Alternatively I remove the milk and yoghurt and just belnd the fruit for a low calorie fuit drink, in which case you can use any fruit, so melon is good, as is tinned mandarins.

lol, for different ideas just look at what the manufactuered smoothies use Thumbs Up

Nothing whatsoever until dinner time, unless I've been on the beer the night before and then I'll have a bacon and egg buttie around 10:30.

I don't usually have breakfast before coming to work, just a coffe or three when I get there.
On the rare occasions that I have any, it's usually a bowl of cereals or a few pieces of toast...

I never eat before going to work. I did try eating a healthy breakfast when I got up, for about 3 months and I didn't feel any benefits from it. So I don't bother any more.

If I have time, a bowl of cereal. Mostly I just wait until I get to work and then drink lots of tea to fill me up til lunch. I mean to have breakfast but seem to forget most days.

Although, on Friday I had a Mcdonalds egg muffin - those things are amazing! Thumbs Up
