i bought a kx 250 all in boxes a month ago today i finaly got it finished....
so i go to the local track to try it out do a few jumps suprised myself how quick it was i normally ride a 600cc supermoto
so after a while i decide im gonna do a few wheelies
up in 1st no probs
change through to 2nd no problem
change through to 3rd just get to the balance point great
then it happend as my speed and revs increased the most uncontrolable powerband kicks in
result
1 bent handle bars
2broken arm
3 broken pride
been so long since i rode a2 stroke moto cross i forgot how mad there power bands were
leason learnt
and k.i.p.s rock Very Happy

Not too cuddly and friendly are them KX250's? Laughing

Bad luck mate, it is all too easy to happen on a MX bike, they are not novice friendly at all!
I came off a WR200 yam kinda a bit like that, but i just got a few bruises and so was very lucky, but i do know a guy who has ridden MX bikes a few times, and his last go on a KX250 ended up with the fork yokes hitting him on the head, and knocking him out cold! He was ok but had to spend a night in hospital for observation and possible concussion.

All this really does make me feel very calm and relaxed about riding the 500cc 2stroke MX'r that iv'e just brought. Shocked
