Bikers 1 - Chavs 0

So yesterday something interesting happened.

I was toddling along on my little TZR, as usual, through an area of Cardiff called Pentrebane. Now... Pentrebane is one of the more "rougher" area's of Cardiff (Meaning, you can't walk around a corner without either getting shouted at, or asked for a fag).

Anyway, I'm approaching a group of shops at 30mph (honestly - I'd just come out of the country lanes so I was quite content to slow down for a bit ) and in the distance I see a group of chavs at the shop. Nothing new there...

As I drive towards the shop, one of the chavs in a black hoody puts his hood up over his head and runs into the middle of the road. He stands in front of me, basically looking like he was trying to rugby tackle my bike! He wasn't going to try and let me get around him either - I knew that this prick was going to try nothing short of knocking me off.

Having no respect for chav life whatsoever, I pulled the clutch and revved the engine loudly as I drove towards him, before dumping it and rocketing the bike at him. He dove out of the way and hit the road, and I drove past without looking back at him at all (I knew of course, that I didn't hit him).

I park my bike just two streets away from the shop to see my girlfriend. We hang around outside her house for a bit, when off in the distance, I see a group of chavs... and one in a black hoody slowly walking towards me.

I decide to ignore them, the group stops a fair distance away but the one in the black hoody continues walking towards me (and my bike, which is parked on the side of the road). Again, I just ignore him.

As he walks past my bike, he pushes one of the handlebars and swings the front of the bike around. I look at him, and am greeted with

"I shud steel yor' fookin' bike."
"You what?"

At this point the chav stops and just stares at me, jaw hanging down.

"Uhh, do oo kno hoo I am mayt?"
"A fucking idiot - you could have been killed when you ran in front of my bike!"
"Obviously tha weren't me dick'ed"
"It was you - I know from the hoody you're wearing"
"No someone else is werin the same hoody innit fookin' dicked."

We argue for a while. I'm getting pretty ready to smack this prick, my girlfriend is freaking out a little and goes inside to get some help. Eventually I get my mobile out and dial 999 (but didn't press call).

"Look, piss off now before I call the police."
"Fooken dick'ed I'm gunna nick your bike now."
"Go on then."
"Fucking... wotch me, your bikes going bruv."

He walks over to my bike, lifts it off the stand, pushes it about an inch before the disc lock brings the bike to a severe halt

Now, obviously I knew I locked the bike so he wasn't going to push it anywhere, that's why I didn't stop him, but I DID expect him to push it over or something.

But that's the thing - he didn't! He just put the bike back on it's stand, and walked off shouting.

"Eff yor fooken' lock weren't on tha bike it'd be gone bruv."


Probably would have been less hassle in the long run if I had hit him on the first place.

a kid was killed by playing chicken with a bike, and the parents then tried to get the police to prove the biker was going too fast

its nice to make a stand when someone is being a prick but i think usually its not worth it.

If you really were in danger fair enough.

but one day a kid isnt going to get out of the way quick enough.

Im not sure I would have been so happy to watch someone take my bike off its stand.

Don't get me wrong - I know it wasn't the smart thing to do... accelerating at a suicidal teenager (as idiotic as he may be) but to be honest, aside from scare him out the way - what could I do?

If I'd stopped, he would have had me off my bike (or tried).

If I'd carried on, again, he could have knocked me off my bike (it certainly looked like that was what he was aiming for).


As for smacking him one, I probably would have were it not for my girlfriend 2 feet behind me. She was upset enough as it was

If he had of even touched my bike I would have gone F in mental. The thing is I am 25 if I even push the little shite to the floor I am going to get done for assaulting a kid and then your screwed. So yeah its not worth it but I probably would have done something anyway.

I hate people that mess with other peoples cars/bikes its expensive enough with out the chavs of this world making it harder for us all.

I would defo have driven at him I do this in my car as they are so stupid the kids! and I dont think the world would miss a few of them as they will only grow up and end up in jail anyway.

Agree, if the dweeb had punched my handlebar I'd have been vaulting the gate to flying kick the arsehole good that he shit himself, and in front of his mates. I reckon they'll only try playing chicken with 125's etc because they know your going to be around the same age. I used to get that when I had 2 strokes, but since I got the 400 I've never had trouble with chav's, they dont even comment when they walk past when I'm off the bike wankers.

alot of folks here say you end up in trouble if you attack a chav ,

You've got more confidence in chavs than me, I wouldn't let one even start thinking about touching my bike. That said, I wouldn't be happy about kicking him in the balls with my girlfriend behind me and his gang not far away either. I'd probably just whip the GF inside and bugger off on the bike.

but rookie that sort of behaviour just encourages them , making people think they are scared of then and thus hard,

much like the happy slap phenomenon , most people don't fight back , when they do its a serious surprise for them and they are woefully unprepared, if I got happy slapped I would not be satisfied until I'd broken at least all their limbs.
