Filming while riding

Any laws that say it's illegal to film (not by hand, the camera is attached to bike!) while riding or anything?

Just a heads up before I go out .

I was thinking this the other day….

If there isn’t anything against filming whilst driving/riding, you have to make sure your vehicle is 100% road worthy simply because if the cops see you have a camera on the bike, they know your either very sad (analysing your riding later) or filming yourself because you want to look kool and go really really fast. lol

Well I'd only be doing it on country roads, put the camera in a bag, and attach it out of the city .

It's not the 'road worthy' bit I'd worry about with the cops.

It's what you've just filmed yourself doing that would worry me.

I don't think there are any particular laws that you would be breaking. Just don't let the footage get into the wrong hands if you are doing anything naughty.

Just wanted to see if using my cam strapped to bike would work, and the video and sound quality is awesome .

I've always wondered if the police would follow up any evidence you collected that detailed drivers breaking traffic laws, talking on mobiles, etc.

If you got a good pic of the license plate and the person on their phone, it would surely be fairly conclusive proof - enough for the police to call round and warn them, at least!

problem is mister james, some crimes are whats classed as "found committing" ie you can only get done if you are actually caught doing it there and then.

got to admit though im ot 100% sure if the mobile phone one is or not

Too bad tailgating isn't a crime, I got loads of footage of people doing it!

Even a guy in a Jag who's about 6 inches from my bike.

if a strapped cam is illegal i dont think they would take kindly to my Stills cam video antics
Camcorder on the way to do it properly, might get away with it in the scottish hills but not so sure i would in swindon.
Plus i dont wana be cornering with one hand was bad enough with not so sharp'ns.

id like to have a camera on my moped to catch law breakers and prove that something wasnt my fault.

slightly off topic i know...but i carry one of those disposable camera in my car. that way if im ever in an accident i can click a few pics of damage/road conditions etc. handy if the other person starts arguing with insurance company.

bit of a pain to carry one on the bike but most people have camera phones now....

just gaffa tape it to the side of your helmet or to your shoulder ,

or do a siggi and get a girl to sit pillion and hold the camera.

My mate mounts his camera on his tank looking through the screen, he just makes sure his speedo is either not visible or if it is he covers it.
