I went out for a ride on the weekend and it was lovely sunny day. Then when I returned home I found that all of my face that is visible with my helmet on was red.
Embarassed

This morning I was so embarrased with a red streak across my face. A mistake i will never do again

Do you have a clear visor? Well my visor is clear so i just stick on a pair of sunnys, they are wrap around and aren't to small but not to big and i don't get this problem (happened once though...without sunnys)

But if your using a tinted or iridium visor then i wouldn't of thought it would be a problem Smile

i would have thought visors would filter out uv light or whatever it's called.

glass filters out UV rays while only some plastics filter out UV rays, since visors are generally made cheap as poss I don't believe they do filter out UV rays, since visors are a niche market.

It's not happened on the bike (although this is my 1st summer on 2 wheels), but I had similar problems in a previous job as a driver...
I used to get really well tanned on my right arm and the right side of my face, but the rest of me stayed pale. I guess it looked a little weird until people realised I was a full time driver Rolling Eyes

i've only started to tan the last couple of years (rather than burn)..

had the helmet face problem, too.. wasn't that bad though and it died down after a day or two. Embarassed

btw, that pic of jordy? the star trek dude, looks like someone threw an air filter through his face.

I had the same problem whilst riding in Thailand. The best way round it is to use factor 15 on your fizzog Matey.
