If you have a basic knowledge of outboard gear and patchbays, Reason should be really easy to understand when patching everything together. Just remember that the 'Tab' bar toggles between the back of your virtual rack and the front of it. And, If I asked what ADSR was, could you explain?

To be honest, I always found that the Roland A80 we used at University in our number 1 studio was perfectly adequate. As such the A50 (smaller range) keyboard would suffice.

It's a touch sensitive professional midi keyboard with the minimum number of bells and whistles.

If you are just starting to learn Reason, then I would really recommend a straight midi keyboard so you can actually learn the software. We always struggled with first years setting the keyboards up differently and stuffing up your reason settings... Used to take bloody ages to reset it as you had originally programmed. Laughing

Mostly just MIDI remixes and production. I've got some original stuff I intend to do when I get a tuit... Laughing
