Alright,

Just sorting out about buying a new PC so I can get back into some online gaming now my missus will be working in the evenings.

Before my old PC blew up many moons ago I was really into Neverwinter Nights online. After that we moved to a laptop with was pointless for games.

Now I'm going back to a desktop I'm after finding out what RPG games are worth looking at. I've played stuff like Elder scrolls on the Xbox (Not online or anything) but I'm not a fan of the 1st person type view, prefer the whole neverwinter / Balders Gate / Diablo type view! /EDIT Just seen neverwinter 2 is coming out! Not till September though

Any clues people?

Fantastic game, offline only however.. but i enjoyed it so much that i've played through it about 6 times.

Also you shouldn't ignore the Knights of the old republic series.. unless, of course you despise star wars.

Also star wars galaxies.. fantastic mmorpg

Don't do the MMORPG thing.

Unless you really , really want to spend pretty much every waking hour impressing fellow Geek's with your new gun of uber-destruction +15 that you spent 48.1264 hours obtaining, by mining the cliffs of arsebiscuit for nay on 3 weeks.


Though if the above sounds good, then go for it, you will love it.

I just get bored with the shooters and driving games. For playing stuff online, I just prefer something with a bit more of a plot behind it that lasts more than a hour or so.

I don't get manically into it as I only play them when the missus is working nights or sleeping in late.

Just something to keep me occupied really!
