Cheapest way to France

Anyone know of any cheap ways of getting to Caen or Roscoff?

All the Ferries are about £180 plus.

I'm trying to get to a place called Lannion, leaving on the 28th and coming back on the 30th.

Oh and what would happen if I just rocked up at the ferry terminus on my bike and asked for a ticket??

any advice much appreciated

The tunnel can be had for as little as £25 one way.

Transmache were fairly cheap for me - booking through their own lines.

Some places have a set number of 'cheap' tickets they sell first.

So you're just going to have to ring around all the companies, as it's fairly short notice.

Yeah was thinking about that but the journey from Calais to Lannion would be an absolute killer Mad on my baby Gixxer. Plus its my first trip (on a bike) into the land of smelly cheese so want to try and keep the distances, down, then again along the coast would be amazing...

what gixxer? I did preston - folkestone calais to the ring in one day on my 76a.

It's not the riding position that does me or my wrists, I tend to drape myself over the tank and prop my lanky legs up on the pillion pegs.

It's the vibes that ruin me, through my feet and hands. I get random numb spots oh and sometimes the old feller and his two mates tend to get hot and bothered.
