mirror height for filtering

Whats the perfect height for mirrors for fast filtering? ,

Given Mr Z's advice on filtering between cars is now green lighted and can cut precious minutes off my commute in and out (gotta love that flexi time). , my standard NTV mirrors are ok for most cars except SUVs and vans, so couriers and fast commuters whats your perfect mirror height?.

Or should I just take the bloody things off and rely on shoulder checks (iffy due to neck muscle injury).

Any suggestions?

Ah-ha something I can relate to...

The mirrors on my old ZX-9 were brilliant, not so low as to be useless and hit car mirrors, and not too high as to hit transit mirrors etc.

Unlike the Bandit's mirrors which are a f*cking pain. Way too high and always making me struggle when vans are queing.

So I'd say whatever height the ZX-9's mirrors are

Something like those may be better than standard mirror's. Seen some bar end one's that dont stick out further than the end of the bars as well.

cool but those things look like they'll add an extra ft to the width of the bike ie bad for filtering

The 1150GS mirrors miss everything, but the handguards twat transit mirrors quite often.
