If you ain't here, live on the isle of wight and have a bike, then where are you! This is turning into a real large bike meet considering the biker population of the IOW. Everyone meets wednesday evening about 6:30 on shanklin seafront, first big car park.

nice earlier Buell.

(IMO) beautiful Cagiva Raptor divided opinion, but was nonetheless very interesting.

Fair number of trikes there.

https://img120.imageshack.us/img120/9825/group38bh.jpg

All of these group photos make the meet look small, but there are bikes stuffed into the corners and along the back out of camera shot.

https://img120.imageshack.us/img120/28/harleys1eu.jpg

small number of the Harley owners club turned up, sporting a combined total of 10 horsepower Wink

Nice 6 cyl Honda was in great condition and looked smooooth

https://img120.imageshack.us/img120/7226/ktm1rp.jpg

KTM supermoto came in with pillion passenger ( Shocked ) looked painful.

https://img120.imageshack.us/img120/5538/laverda3pd.jpg

lovely looking Laverda was last ever model to be registered in the UK, june '03...

https://img182.imageshack.us/img182/9845/rat6ml.jpg

Loud as hell function over form rat bike made a nice change, with huge rear disc and front drum, and open belts.

https://img306.imageshack.us/img306/2756/rd3505bt.jpg

Check out the powerbands on that! Surprised Laughing RD350 in rising sun paint scheme, sounded evil.

Black RD was in beautiful condition, and was set off by the orange rims. The CBR looked a pretty penny too, though in it's somewhat more exotic company it looked just a teeny bit plastic.

https://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8986/rearofsp29dk.jpg

VTR SP2's rear was too nice not to get a shot of. The front wheren't half bad either...

https://img306.imageshack.us/img306/3876/vtrsp29vl.jpg

https://img306.imageshack.us/img306/416/xjr13007sm.jpg

XJR 1300 looked the business in Yam anniversary colours, with ohlins shocks.

https://img346.imageshack.us/img346/2605/sprint10508dr.jpg

Triumph looked hard enough to stare down even the most bearded harley rider. Was absolutely brand-fucking-spankers too.

https://img250.imageshack.us/img250/8651/triumph3no.jpg

Slightly older, but still in excellent condition.

https://img306.imageshack.us/img306/6058/vettestang2sq.jpg

The yanks put in an appearance too, hoping to get more out, many cars being resprayed at the moment.

looks good, keep meaning to come along but something always comes up, that vtr looks preety fly, there was only 4 sp2s on the island until a couple of weeks ago when one of them was written off apparently. now only 3, class bikes though. lovin the laverda aswell. will have to polish up my bike a bit before bringing her along though, shes a little bt rubbish in that company! Embarassed island girl we clearly have differant taste in roads! the ride from shanklin round the back of the downs to ventnor then the undercliffe through to blackgang is my fave route on the whole island! (except for the 100 yards of draincover city in niton.... wtf is that about!) plus i get the bonus of riding it every day to and from work Thumbs Up

Bullet, you naturally have had plenty of practice with that route then, I have only ever done a twice now and at speed (riding in a group keeping up with them all!) Maybe if I were to do it a few times in my own time I would get used to it. Often a fair few riders I understand do it after the meets at Shanklin whether it be on the Wednesday or Sunday morning.
Have seen your piccie on this forum so if I see you about now I will certainly say hi Mr. Green
