Tool Carry Ideas?

I have a nice halfords toolkit at home, its not massive, and i do take it on any extended journeys but its not practical for everyday use, and i idealy want something i can squash under the seat of my GS500 to join my cargo net,

So what i will include is
12mm spannder
Adjustable
Electrical tape,
Screwdriver
Allenkey's

Anyone here know of either
a) somewhere that sells a nice pouch that will be slimline and hold roughly what i need there or

b) have any ideas as to how to make something to meet my needs

I was thinking along the lines of getting lengths of denim or leather and asking my girlfriend to sew something out of it (lol...) im thinking it would need alot of stitching though...

FWIW I'd pop into a camping supply store and see what they've got in the way of pouches/bags. Failing that a roll-away travel toilet bag may suffice. Whatever you choose I'd be inclined to keep it in a plastic bag anyhow, but that's just me

I just have the original Yamaha toolkit that came with the divvy tucked away in it's holder under the seat, some pliers, a few sockets and allen keys in the box along with a spare clutch cable and a can of tyre-weld. I need something to store them in to stop them rattling about in the box as well...

I keep a few spanners & allen keys in my bag, i also have a box of fuses which might come in handy.

Those pouches are ok, i was thinking more along the lines of leaving it in the bike, and yes i would probably wrap a plastic bag around it

Aye, a cheap sponge bag does the job ok.

If you buy cheap spanners for a toolkit you can cut them in half to save space and just carry a bit of tubing to slide over the end of them to make the handle long enough.

Car boot sales are a good source of cheap spanners (sometimes surprisingly good makes). You also get odd combination spanners. I have one that is 24mm on one end and 17mm on the other. Ideal for removing wheel nuts.

[Method]

Go to your post office or stationary store and get a bubble filled jiffy packaging packet thing.

Stuff your tools in there and tape it up.

Failing that do what my mate does on his 50 - Get all your spanners and tools etc and bundle them together, wrap some insulating tape around them to keep them solid and put in a plastic bag. Wrap some tape round that and stuff it under there
