Hi c-m,

Don't get too many Norwich folk posting on here (there are some though): Welcome! I live on Dereham Road.

I did all my training from CBT to DAS with Apex (01603 508088 - they're on the cattlemarket off Hall Road). Andy and Aaron are nice guys and good trainers, I think. Thumbs Up

Cool! See if they remember me when you do it. I only passed my DAS a month ago.

Have a good one!

£80 all in? Christ!

Down south it cost me £95 to do my CBT on a 50cc, 4 years ago!

I did both my CBT and, more recently, my A2 training with a place called 'Top Notch Training'.

https://www.topnotchtraining.co.uk/

Passed both first time. Really helpful and friendly instructors whom know what they're talking about.

sounds good. I chose apex since they had a place free next week, and did a little research on the net. The other companies I called were booked well in advance.

Hopefully I will have a great experience with them and will be back here CBT in hand praising them. If not I will bear Top Notch training in mind.

took my CBT this morning with Andy at Apex, and a new instructor. they were both friendly and gave good advice and instruction. I passed my CBT on a 125 and would consider doing a Direct Access with them once I have more bike experience. I would recommend them to people in the area.

All i need now is a nice bike and fast chick.

Hi i'm also from Norwich, well I wasn't actually born here hence why I've only got one head and talk normally Wink joke

I live just out side Norwich in the ever expanding Thorpe Marriott.
I took mine with CJ Ball the Honda/Suzuki dealer, they were really good but pretty expensive £119 for CBT on a XR125.

You can't fail a CBT really, it's not a test just training and you have to be lethal on a bike to not get certified as a safe rider on the road. lol

Good on ya though Smile

haha, i'm not from norwich either, I just stayed here after finishing uni, i'm originally from wolverhampton (which is probably worse).

All i want to do is get a bike and ride, but i'm soo skint at the moment, its going to be a while before i can afford anything. Obviously this is particularly bad as i may forget a thing or two i learned at my CBT.

/goes off to look at all the pretty bike he can't afford.

How much are you looking to pay for a bike? If you look in the right places you can pick up a real bargin. As a first bike you don't need anything overly fast or impressive. I know of people on here getting chinese import 125's brand new for £600.

Not the best build quality but take care of it and they do OK. 2nd ones are dirt cheap!

Congrats on the CBT!!!

Good to see some more locals getting on the forum!

well i recently finished my last job, and have a whole £4.50 saved towards a bike. I did see some lifans etc.. for around £600, but for that i'd rather a nice old skool honda or something.

Do you know where I should begin looking? I'd happily buy a 2nd hand chinese bike if it was cheap enough, untill i some cash together for somethign better.

For stuff like the chinese bikes the best place I'd say is Ebay.

If not mine came from J&S in New Malden, just outside London, but that's a bit far for you!
