after work today i went for a little ride and as i was going towards burstwick i passed a bike cop and he nodded at me so i nodded back as you do.

never had a bike cop nod at me before was quite suprised to be fair.

Same here, they instigate it most of the time. I had one actually walk up to the edge of the road and give me a wave/thumbs up from where he'd stopped. I was quite surprised as it's only recently started happening, perhaps their boss has told them to be more approachable.

Oh yeah, now I think about it, first time I was wearing hi-viz, and got a nod. Second time I wasn't and no nod. Was the plod biker being dis-approving of my choice of all black clothing?

I thought it was quite cool, especially as the guy in the car behind decided to stop tailgating me after that! Laughing

One waved as he went past me in the other direction a couple of weeks ago so I nodded back. Pretty sure that was a 'Bikesafe' rideout as there were lots of police riders paired up with civvies, but a nice surprise anyway. Course I then nodded to the next one and he flatout ignored me. Rolling Eyes

(That was a black bike with black leathers, a black lid and a black visor. With a race can, and in excess of the NSL. Kinda messes up your theory FreshAL Wink)

No, I haven't worn Hi-Viz since I did my DAS, but then, I did have the pannier brackets still attached,so I might come in under a different category! Laughing Wink
