On Thursday I lost the front U-turning in front of someone's gravel driveway where the gravel had spilled out onto the pavement/road - only a snapped right foot peg - can live with that as R&Gs had saved the paintwork.

Then on Sat morning coming back from a nice fat fry up I went into the back of a BMW Rolling Eyes

Swapping lanes doing a left shoulder check without realising the lights up ahead had gone red. Cue emergency stop resulting in a small rolling stoppie. All was going well until the front locked up and I slid into the back of the Beemer just tapping it lightly. My bike went down and my mirror hit the back of the car scratching the car and then snapping off.

Wouldn't have minded so much but I had a pillion with me at the time (Sorry Kayz Razz

). Still no real harm done although Kayz does have a bruised ankle so I expect she will be suing me Laughing

So already watching the items on Ebay and will hopefully have the bike tip top again by the weekend for a bout of silly hoonage Thumbs Up

I personally can't beat that.

However a friend of mine Rob, dropped his brand spanking new GSXR750 after onlt 20 mins of picking it up from D & K. He pulled out of the end of his road and span the rear on some gravel, spinning the whole bike round and damaging the N/S fairing. Needless to say he was not at all pleased and as he is 17 stone and a body builder I didn't take the piss too much Wink

2 offs in 1 day last tuesday. Not big ones but the bike went down and damage was done.

I'd just been to the dentist and had 4 extractions. I felt fine but i guess the anesthetic was still in my system and i wasn't firing on all cylinders.

Just after getting home i went for a ride on the moors. On a road i've ridden 100's of times i went too fast into corner, locked up on a bit of loose gravel and went straight on into the moorland and crashed. Nursed it home and bent it back into a ridable state. Then i went up an hour later looking for my missing indicator and went down again. Went straight on at a corner about 50m from where i went off the first time.

A friend of mine crashed his bike within 24 hours of buying it.

He passed his test on Friday 12th September 2003.
He bought his CBR600F on Saturday 13th Septembe 2003.
He crashed on Sunday 14th September 2003.

His funeral was a week later. Sad

My brother crashed twice in the same day -

First was a low side

second was him riding into a car (wrote the bike off)

Was about 3 years ago i think

He's not had a bike since Laughing

In the vein of dropping new bikes, I visited a Yamaha dealer who had a spanking new R1 in black, absolutely stunning.
One of his mechanics had taken it out, slipped on some gravel and dropped it before it was even sold. I didn't notice the scratches to start with but apparently it was £500 worth!

That's a big - DOH! Shocked
