You can sort of raise a finger or two from the bars on passing or being passed - rare to see any reaction from the other side iunless they're German.

Went down to London at the weekend. As soon as I got onto the (hideous stationary traffic jam that is the) North circular I got no nods or acknowledgements bar one pair of riders (who I passed on the outbound and homeward legs of the trip) and the guy loaded with luggage and a pillion on his seriously hefty sportsbikke who I followed through the traffic as he made gaps up to the Gyratory. Had to dodge around the outside of a few cars (including a blue ferrari 430) a few times as the gaps he opened up closed behind him...

Bar that though, no nods or waves until back on the M1. It must be London I guess. I had a big ped almost scythe the front off my bike as well as I pulled out to filter past.

Has anyone seen a ped nod to another ped? You'd think that they would but I didn't see it happen at all over the weekend. My bike felt oversized for the london traffic jams and they all wizzed past me..

I nod to anything on two wheels as long as they're wearing proper gear.

Saw a guy in full leathers on this OLD arse moped the other day, black visor, the lot.

Gave him a nod and he popped a wheelie and waved.


Made my week.

But yeahh, I've had nods when in outside lane, to a biker again on the outside lane.

Today I saw a cruiser get passed by a sports bike, they waved at each other.

Gave me the warm fuzzies and made me wish (yet again) that I taken my bike on the trip from brighton to tenby (and back).

God it was horrible...

i nod and wave at everyone on two wheels and also to the ladies that check me out as they are walking along.

even on the cat and fiddle if i HAVE to ride that way to matlock

always a nod and a wave even if i'm banked over an a corner


if there is a long line of bikers though i just give them all a wave with my left hand.

removing your hand from the throttle for 2 secs and youl lose about 2mph off your speed i just give em a wave, although in my winter gear i can give a nod at 120mph (speeding isnt smart, so do it safely)
