I don't know if anyone can help me, I hope they can.

One of my kittens caught a bird, it looks fairly young adult. She hasn't drawn blood or anything of the sort, I got to the bird just in time. However the bird cannot fly (believe it's damaged the tail feathers) and I didn't want to leave it running around in my garden with the chance of it getting hurt or killed.

I have put it in a large dark box, with a small bowl of water.

What should I do now?

I will not kill the bird, as it's too healthy and ok for that.

It probably does need an hour or two in the dark box to chill out after the trauma of being tortured by your kitty.

Give it an hour or two then take it up to the 1st floor window and throw it, shouting 'fly my pretty, fly!'

take it to vet, they will either send it for treatment with local animal rescue place or put it out of its misery...
