Does anyone know where I can get cardboard boxes from? I'm moving house soon, and they would be very useful... I don't even mind paying a bit for them. The only place I can think of is a supermarket, but as I used to work in one, I know that most of them are the short ones used for fruit and veg... which wouldn't be much use.

staples sell box it boxes,
you can also get boxes from those self store places , prety thick card board and large but pretty steep too,
Some other places,
fast food places busy ones, they go through boxes of hot food trays real quick and have lots of spare boxes which used to contain those food trays , kinda weak and can't hold much though.
You can always ask for super market boxes not the ones they put out , but stuff from the store room , you just have to ask (much like the way I asked for some spare live yeast in 2002 , which went into a home brew kit and made some booze that made you go blind). ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Just Go to Tesco's or ask any bar in town. I promise you, they throw away countless boxes EVERY DAY.
You will get perfectly good large boxes for free. ____________________ Its Not a Melon, Its Clearly a Lime!!

Storage places will sell appropriate boxes. When we moved all of our crap into storage, we bought a package

In my local town there's a place that just sells boxes, there might be one in yours.
I have no idea how they turn a profit. |

I moved not too long ago and I had a load of old Compaq PC boxes I saved from work. Good tough boxes so another vote for the IT dept.
I also picked up a couple of boxes, some bubble wrap and a load of tape from the Surgard self storage place near to me. Probably paid over the odds, but time was short.
A relative also turned up having kindly bought this for us:

Bit pricy for a bunch of cardboard, but invaluable as it turned out. Huge boxes and pretty tough. ____________________ 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |
