Put deposit down on new bike

Just got back from wales where I have put a deposit down on a 1994 FZR600

Cant wait to collect her now, altho im a tad scared

Well I got her home all fine, until I notice the stupid amounts of steam and acid coming from the batt overflow the reg/rec is dead and the batt boiled dry.

Also having issues with the rear lights but I will sort that once the reg/rec is done as it may be related.

Its been sold not fit for purpose, take it back!


Seems a nice bike, even though its got problems.

Tad annoyed but heh its a lovely clean bike other then that. Not sure what will have caused the fault, Im guessing its just a matter of replacing the reg/rec and batt and its good to go ?

Only problem now is I have no manual and no idea where the reg/rec actually is on this bike

Its a really good looking, clean, bike for its age Just really hope its a simple replace of reg/rec and its ok

After cleaning off the sticker residue and giving it a good clean and polish it looks really good

Well I replaced the reg/rec + battery and went for a blast to only be greated by more leaking battery acid how my heart sunk as I thought the reg had blown again and there was something more major causing this.

Turned out to be just an over filled battery, tested the reg and its still ok I then checked the rear lights and fixed a dodgy earth on one connector and they all work too now
