help...... Crying or Very sad

having mislaid my old paper licence filled in a form had a photo taken sent it all of with a cheque..

thought no more of it?

it just arrived with a few errors

address is wrong (same road wrong house)
the dates that i passed my cat b is wrong

but most annoying is my cat a has gone

now work might be a bit of a problem(motorcycle paramedic)

been looking at a few posting where pople have had the same problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

not the first time and wont be the last time that the dvla have fucked up. its not easy to get them to just add a missing category..... ive heard of people having to retake tests etc if they cant prove they used to have that category Sad

If the place you passed still existed, you can try there and hope they archived your pass certificate.

It's just f*cking outrageous. I'm going to go and take a copy of my license now and keep it somewhere safe.

I think you should do this, i've read stuff about getting someone of some importance to sign that this is a true copy of your driving license. ie teacher, magistrate, police man, bank manager etc.

I guess the DVLA's systems are pants, plus I guess the person doing licenses, just presumes everyone's a car driver.

There was a feature in MCN, where someone sent they're license back and had bus added to their license.

You should phone the DVLA with your details and then fil in the VXYblah wahtever form theyl send 1 asap i lost mine and i had a new 1 within 2 weeks Smile
then i found it so ive got 2 licenses Smile

I'd write to every newspaper you can explaining how rediculous the situation is.

The fact that you're a motorbike paramedic makes it a thousand times worse, because I assume you only go to the serious life/death incidents, to have someone like you off the road would be rediculous.

Write to the DVLA and all the local press you can! It's bound to make the front page of a local paper. The DVLA might realise then.
