Tough luck I suppose, since you couldn't find 1 among the 9 out of th 3000 odd in the area.

If you are going by car/bike why not use a travel lodge/inn

Did I ask for sarcasm? Rolling Eyes

I didnt think it was THAT DIFFICULT A QUESTION.... I dont know the area... I do not want to book into a hotel 10 miles away from Penn and was asking people for advice as to which bits of Wolverhampton is closest (and if they knew of any B&B/Hotels there) Rolling Eyes

Trouble is... There's quite a few of us going up (with it being a death in the family and all that) and it does need to be (erm...)semi-nice! Rolling Eyes

But thanks all the same!

The Quality Hotel is actually on the Ring Road, but on the Penn Road.

Penn itself is about a mile/mile and a half away from the city centre.

Pm me as I work in Wolverhampton and drive through Penn every day.

EDIT: Another place which has just popped into my head is "Penn Cottage", I think they do B&B, but I'm not sure how many rooms they have.
I can't find their contact details on the yellow pages so will have a look tonight when I ride past.

If you want somewhere a bit nicer then Ely House Hotel on the Tettenhall Road is nice, it's again, just outside the ringroad and about 2 miles from Penn.

Let me know which bit of Penn you will be going to as it depends which bit of Wolverhampton is best.

Pleased to hear it, and despite the circumstances I hope you enjoy your stay in Wolverhampton (a bit of civic pride never hurt).
