During some routine tinkerin i took the masssive uber screen off the bike, rendering the bike half faired (the lower half)

I'd forgotten just how much wind blast you get, got twated in the face by some quite hefty bugs, so needed my (really quite crap visor thats normally up becuase its simply not neded) down..
Allthough in this tempreture is made rideing allot nicer heat wise..

So is your bike covered up plastic yashmak style or naked like a big bro' ho?

My bike has a sexy bikini fairing and is actually the best of both worlds. It keeps enough windblast off to enable distance riding, but it isn't protective enough to allow me to do over 80mph for extended periods.

I have a mahhosive screen added on to the XTZ as it is used mainly on the motorway.

Don't need any windblast to stop me going over 80 for too long as the engine only just reaches 90 before it sounds like its gonna explode Laughing

Full fairing on one bike, half (upper) on another. The missus's bike is naked.

Problem with the full fairing (and to some extent the half) is that it creates a bubble of still air. Which means in hot weather like this here's hardly any cooling breaze around my head (the one on my shoulders Rolling Eyes

). Need to fit a lower screen for summer and a higher one for the rest of the time.

Unashamedly naked.

Unfortunately, as a result of having no faring, the muscle mass in my upper body has bulked up and I'm now built like a brick shitehouse.

I have a flyscreen and a kind of bulgy out tank that keeps some of the weather off your legs.

Even a small flyscreen makes it easier to hang on.

voted fully, but if i were to go down that road, for me its fully or not atall, i dont like half farings like the sv, fazer ect, looks like youve been robbed or forgot to put it back together.

Although I do want to own a faired sportsbike again, they sure are impractical and its a real pain in the arse taking the fairing off all the time just to do routine maintenance.

Half faired, or fully naked, fly screens just look daft. Like my er5 did. Embarassed

I've got a little nose-cone on the 250 which made a hell of a difference to wind blast when I first got it. I also think it kind of suits it! Embarassed

The 400 at the moment is totally naked. I am looking for something suitable once again because the windblast is pretty hefty. Not found anything yet though.

Unfaired here. Never tried a faired bike, not sure if I'd like it or not, always liked the looks of unfaired bikes better.

Naked. Especially in this weather, but I'd hate to come off and have my arse cheeks scrubbed in the hospital.

Also the air around the nads is nice. Do get some strange stares as I ride by though. Oh, and it's a bitch changing gear with no boots on. Also, when you leave the bike standing in the sun, the beer belly burns somewhat on the tank!!

Seriously, naked is convenient for maintenance and I think it looks better. I ain't racing, so I don't need all the plastic. But..........I did like the fairing to hide behind at speed, and in the winter it diverts that nice warm air from the engine. Just can't make my mind up, each has it's benefits.
