Can I ask, have they done a VDU risk assessment? They have an obligation under the HSE rules.

You can also ask for eyesight checks.

There`s alot of bumph in this document, but it gives you an idea of the employers obligations.

no less than 50 mins and no greater than 120 minutes breaks it says. so the c*nts got away with giving an hour for 12 hour shift. tut, why do they always give the minumum its just like wages also. you would think they want there staff to be happy..

Not sure what others have said as can';t be bothered to read them all . You legally have to have a minimum of 10 minutes every 2-3 hours at a computer i think.. This doesn';t have to be a break form work just a break form the computer i belive.

Why don;t you go out with the smokers and have a chat?

Yeah i agree with Dragonfly. I hate standing around while others smoke, and can't stand the smell it leaves in my hair Sick

From what you've all said, it looks like i should have a word with my boss and see what happens. I would like to be optimistic and hope i get an extra break, but i can't see that happening Rolling Eyes

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 20 years, 31 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
