I know when learning to ride speed shouldn't be the most important thing but anyway, what is the fastest bike you can buy with your restricted license?

Any thing i trusted myself on.

Turned out to be a claimed 110bhp ish CBR 600 FS Wink

Acceleration wise, the sv650 is good. Not too heavy and decent torque. You're really looking at 100mph maximum anyway, anymore and it's a bonus (had my restricted sv indicating nearly 115 but don't believe that)

Yeahh go on a diet too.

And don't expect much performance when giving a pillion on a 33bhp bike, I was nearly getting beat at the lights by cars.

The fastest bike you can buy on a restricted licence would be between the ZZR1400 and suzuki GSX 1300R hyabusa.

Legally speaking, probably an RS125. Nice little bikes, I'm guessing quite a bit of fun when kept on 90mph b-roads.

Tis a ridiculous question.

But yes, probably an RS125 (or similar) due to it being lightest.

33bhp is 33bhp, you're still only gonna see just over 100mph.

The restricted licence has a power to weight limit as well, im not too sure what this is (since i have lardy bikes that arent 33bhp by a long shot this has never bothered me)

Absolutely correct, which rules out ~30bhp crazy lightweight 125s.

Someone more anal than myself will google the exact numbers I'm sure.
