Hi guys, tried a search on this but got nothing. Has anyone researched the cheapest place to buy a bike within europe at all? I'm not concerned over re-registration costs etc as I'd be using it abroad anyhow but was wondering who gets the best deals on their machines.
Appreciate your thoughts.

I don't think we do too badly to be honest.

Holland has crippling taxes as does the republic.

I've known Irish people to come over buy a car and then pay the €1000
import joby, it still worked out cheaper.

Yeah a lot of Irish buy from the uk.

You guys have a better selection of bikes and so they seem to be cheaper. Even with the sterling conversion and VRT.

I think as things go Germany aint too bad a place!?

I'm over in the republic too and yes we are VERY ripped off over here! I thought Germany BUT having a sample price of £5799 for a Triumph 955i as a uk price I took a look at the same bike in Germany and got €9600 something!! THAT surprised me so I guess we are ok in the uk after all!

Yeah, I was going to suggest Portugal. In fact I'm going over there next week and I may go and check out prices for myself. My dad is Portuguese so if I did decide to buy a bike there, he should make it a tad easier for me. Thumbs Up I've never checked the prices of bikes over there, but a while back it was considered to be the cheapest place to import cars from. There and Belgium I think.

Having said that, that was before Euros. Which will have pushed up the prices. Confused
