Apart from the cruchies , you can work the lats to give you the 'triangle' shape and make the waist appear smaller, leg raises and back exercises will all help define the midrift.

take advantage of the sun! ,

you work in the sun right? , get some sun lotion a v high factor one , and paint onto your belly a six pack where your abs used to be , the sun shines tans certain bits darker!

ta da! , six pack easy,

that said I saw this weird bloke in Spain years ago he had a big huge belly but an 8 pack ontop of that.

I've been on a mission recently to lose belly fat. It's not that hard, I just don't drink beer and do the press-ups and sit ups.

However I've been hit with a new phenomenon - a 'beer back'!
I have developed these 'love handles' - like concentrated stores of excess fat.
I can't do reverse sit ups so the only thing I can think of is not eating for a long time. Sad

Reverse crunches.

At that weight I wouldnt bother worrying babout your '6 pack' it wont mak you look strong, itll make you look like a skinny guy with low body fat %.

The way to get your 6 pack back is not as you think, it is body fat %. If you go below the 12% BF marker then you will have your 6 pack back. So do some cardio and eat healthier.

To lose BF% you need to be eating more proteins and good carbs. The more shit you eat the longer it will take to get the six back in shape, also maybe you should try training to change your body shape and size, and focus on the 6 pack when it will be on show. Also, thats too many reps. 3 sets of weighted 8 reps every other day will go further.

'Training' for your 6 pack now will do nothing but give you something to show off when its cold.

You cant spot reduce fat from one area mate, you have to reduce your overall fat percentage to get abs showing.

Do a full body training program and any abs that are there will become magically uncovered due to you toning what muscle's there and lowering your body fat.

Blokes tend to store any excess fat on the belly, just likemwomen tend to store it on the hips, thighs, arse.

Hi mate,
Im 18, ive been doing weight training, serious weight training since i was 15, and I do alot of fitness work.

The best advice i can give you for Home exercises would be to Run, Eat alot of Tuna, chicken etc.

Try to lie on the end of the bed with someone sat on your feet, lean just off the edge and go down so ur head is touching the floor, then bring ur back up so its straight, this will strengthen your lower back muscles(sacrospinalis). This will narrow it down, reduce your love handles, also get a stick or pole of some sort, put it on ur shoulders, hole on to it and do daily Twists! Sounds stupid but it works if your serious about it!

U can do basic things like sit ups, make sure u do different ways such as turning when you reach the top and bringing your legs towards you!

Smile

No offence mate but thats not right.

You can do as many side twists as you like, you will tone the muscle underneath but it wont melt your love handles.

Working a particular area wont melt the fat there, you have to reduce your overall body fat. Cool

Ahh, but if u notice i said eat right and run Smile

If you do that, then your going to reduce overall body fat to a percentage where you can feel your abs Wink

Eat a healthy and balanced diet?
That said, I don't eat ANY vegetables besides potatoes and live on a staple diet of junk food, fast food and fatty food, and I weigh under 7st. (I am only 5' 1/2 though....turns out I've grown since I was last measured!). I don't exercise either, but I walk to and from places.
My guy has a friend who is a dietrician (I think that's what it is, or a nutritionist) and he reccomends to eat a handful of food every 20 mins besides when you're asleep, beause it encourages your metabolism to work constantly.
But I guess I'll die early from vitamin deprivation or a heart attack so prolly not best to take advice from me Wink

Each of the meals is a properly balanced and weighed amount of protein, carbs and fat (depends on whether on or off season).

I always have a better body when I'm single. (mind you I usually have more sex when I'm single haha).

When I'm with someone I think whats the point of going down the gym when I can stay here and eat shit and watch TV.

Wonder why I keep getting dumped???

Shocked

What Liz' friend has said is correct - eating small amounts of food regularly boosts your metabolism meaning you burn energy constantly and at a higher rate.

A lot of people diet for long periods then return to their previous dietry pattern. During the diet stage their body 'fasts' and so stores energy in fat reserves.

Other ways to help increase your metabolism include eating breakfast - so few of us actually bother, but it really does help. Avoid eating late at night, say after 8pm. Finally eat foods like sweet potato and brown rice that contain complex carbohydrates as these are more difficult for the body to break down.
