I think its a great song but the vids nothing special. Cant wait for the new album, seeing then at Birmingham NEC in December too

I was a huge maiden fan back in the eighties. I went seeing them on the killers tour in 81 I think, then at least once a year for the next few albums. Seen em at Donington a few times too.
Not really listened to em much since the nineties tho.

IMO they lost the plot from 'Bring your daughter to the slaughter' everything afta that is just not as it should be. Just like the old school Maiden.

I was a big Maiden fan up until Bruce left and Blaze took over but haven't really paid much attention to the stuff they've done since Bruce has been back.

Once upon a time Iron Maiden played one of the local places (down here in deepest darkest wales)
They were a relatively unknown band and My Great aunt and uncle were the stewrds of the club...
After the gig Iron Maiden's bus wouldn't start up and my aunty invited them back to her place to wait for the breakdown service!
She made them mugs of tea and some sandwiches!

I've got tickets to see them in December. I hope the new materials an improvement on Dog of Death. That was dire. In terms of recent material, Brave new world was decent enough. I'm still more into the older material though.

I tell lie, i actually saw the Live in Rio DVD and was very impressed by the performance of Murray, Smith and Gerrs together esepecially a couple of three way synched guitar solos

That's disgraceful, but it's what happens when you think you are above everyone else and can get away with it but in reality you are burnt out, over the hill and past your prime and can't admit it.

Maiden and Metallica still have it, and they respect their fans alot, which makes them a special band, not to mention they still play like they used to and haven't lost it.

We left at about 11:15. Just after they'd played You Could Be Mine, badly.

I agree with everything you said above. We noted ont he way out that there wasn't any flow to the gig. Stop/Start crap and what was the piano piece all about???

I thought there opener, when they finally fucking managed to get their arses on stage, was impressive. Crowd went nuts, but after that, it went downhill.

You weren't in the middle of the crowd where the fight was kicking off were you? Especially liked the lighting guys and the camera man picking the 'tard out on the big screen.
Pretty much the highlight of the night. I also thought the sound for the supports was crap too. Maybe its the venue.
