Subaru ?3000 free fuel offer!

Just seen a TV advert from Subaru saying if you buy a new Subaru and you get £3000 of fuel for free

Checked there website and it's true! Wonder how long it will be before other car manufacturers take note... and dare i say it... bikes

Do you think Subaru knew the fuel prices over here before making that offer? Or perhaps it's deliberate with the middle east crisis reducing the number of new car sales?

more likey they made the final price 3k higher then they was going too so they could do this "so called" deal OR they were set to reduce price in 1st place by 3k & thought just give them 3k worth of fuel

Having just spent an hour a night watching american TV I can tell you that a few of the americans are doing this too. One that springs to mind was Ford, which were offering to 'pay for your fuel' for a set amount of time. Very simple when a gallon is a ridiculously low price. Three grand is a lot of fuel even in a subaru though, if the price for the original car isnt hiked through the roof then perhaps it could start a trend?

It says upto so it's probably proportionate to how much extra they are charging you for the car, doubt you will get three grands worth.

Amount seems to vary with the model of car. With the turbo ones it is £3k and the price doesn't seem to have changed (although the dealers might be less willing to haggle). Probably about enough fuel for 13000 miles (assuming 20mpg).

I seem to remember rover doing free fuel for a year with any new car in about 2001. Not a new idea.

Guess it will be from one particular supplier, so Subaru will have paid in advance for the fuel wholesale at a vastly reduced rate, probably will be some dodge meaning they got it tax exempt so are paying buttons for it

Pegeout is/were doing it with new scooters too.. You probably have to buy the fuel then keep reciepts and get reimbursed. They're counting on everyone losing the reciepts (more than likley!).
