you remove the small grub screws then you want to get a wire coat hanger and cut it in two and bend teh two halves so that an end goes in each of teh holes where the grub screws where.
Now the unit should pull out. The wires "unlock" the cage holding the unit in. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

99.....is that the Mrk3.2 Astra? (i.e the later Mrk3 with more rounded features, wing mirrors etc...)
If it is, then it should just be a case of getting two pieces of metal, easiest from a coat hanger, bend them into a U shape and wedge them in the 4 holes.
Last time I fitted kit into an Astra I just used 4 small screw drivers.
As fair as I remember the earlier ones are the same....as are the Mrk4s.
Or I could be mistaken....its been a while!

Newer CD Players / Radios will have locking pins in them to aid security.
The theory is that to remove the CD PLayers etc the robber needs to have the CD Keys that fit your cd - in reality they can be picked up for pennies at Halfords, or free if you go to your local Dealer and just ask one of the mechanics if they have any you can borrow for a second.
Im not clued up on astra's but it definately seems like you can simply stick anything in there (eg a coat hanger) and push to clips out that way.
Once those clips are pressed by something (your coathanger) then the radio etc will simply drop out.
