Remember "The Contender", boxing show with Sly Stallone that was on last year where contenders had to train and fight eachother for the chance to win $1 million dollars.

Well tonight (Sunday) on ITV 4 at 9.00pm the second series is going to start. It is also shown on Mondays at 9.00pm aswell.

If you don't know what it is about then this should sum it up:
Quote:
American reality show following 16 aspiring boxers who convene at a training camp where they live, eat, sleep and train together, with each episode culminating in a five-round professional bout, the winner of which moves one step closer to the $1million grand prize

This is just a heads up to let whoever is interested know. Wink

I watched it last year & thought it was pretty good, although i have a feeling it might be fake, just because when they have conversations it seems very scripted it's probably just the way it's filmed in the way of a soap.

I wanted that Alfonso to win last year. As much as i disliked him you must admit that Sergio Mora is bloody good.

Yeah, I agree with you about wanting Alfonso to win rather than Sergio. Sergio showed off too much in my opinion, but was a good fighter. Also last year was quite sad when that black guy killed himself after he lost his fight. Thumbs Up

1st time round it was ace. Thumbs Up Let's hope they don't ruin it like the Americans tend to do with all sequel type stuff.

Best performance last year was from Anthony Bosante in one fight. Gave one guy (I think it was Brent) an absolute pounding, think it was the quickest match in the series. Fucking awesome it was, wish he won it. Laughing Crying or Very sad
