So...I couldn't help but name my first bike, and blatantly she's female (temperamental and particularly mardy when cold)

She's called April (the fact that when the last owned lowsided it scratched off the ia at the end of one of the decals kinda decided it really)

How about you lot? Name your bikes? named yer first one? etc.

I started calling one of mine "Suzi" but then people started taking the piss. So I stopped. I now refer to them as 'the blue one' and 'the death trap'

I joked that I should have called my last bike 'The Pig', simply because it was one to start!

bike names are cool and make the bike a person, so will go closer to your hart (hopefully).

But I just can't find a cool name for my Yamaha Fazer. Sad

I cannot name my bike as I am a man and am maintaining a tenous grip on any semblance of street cred.

However, I've always liked Sheila.

mine is called yasmin, as in yasmin the yamaha, cant really think names up so that seem a good idea, i only name vehicles i feel a connection to, so didnt name the old escort and fiesta i had lying around, but i named my old land rover lara, so you can see the pattern in how i name stuff

Why should everyone new be expected to trawl through all the old posts just to check that noone has ever posted the same thing before, if it bugs you so much, why read the post in the first place...bog off and create your own more original posts.

Some of us enjoy sharing such stories with peeps...I certainly dont mind, its getting me prepared for old age when the kids in the street will come up and say 'Granny Clanger tell the one about the...blah blah blah again...' and I'll say 'ah yes.....' and tell the damn story Ive told a thousand times all over again....

Before the internet and email and things, stories told again and again is how things were done... Thumbs Up
