Hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone has any personal bike videos they've made?

I've just made one myself after almost a month of having my new 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R. No stunts yet as I'm taking things slow and getting used to the bike first! Give it a few months and we'll see.

It's hosted on my bro's website :

www.plankfilms.com/meandmebruv.html

Would appreciate any feedback and comments that anyone may have, and if you've made your own video post up a link here!

Cheers guys.

Thats a great idea, We should have a "Personale Videos" section in the Biker videos section. Have Alphabetic order of everyones videos, to get on the list you just post the link via e-mail or somthing.

Smile

Ima watch ur vid now.

Nice enough video, but you realise with your full name, registration plate and a face shot, the police would have more than enough for a prosecution if they wanted to? Laughing

Excellent work. Nothing spectacular, just the joys of riding at it's simplest.

Before my "constructive criticism" I would just like to say I like your riding, it is safe and you will go a long way in life. Thumbs Up

However, the video had me in stitches. I'll start from the beginning.

You have put your name at the start, MrPlod "Oh Matt Steel I know where he lives". Really don't wanna be doing that, as with the number plate, is a no-no really, most video editing software will allow you to blur the No Plate.

Next we have the canvassing over the bike. Impressive, Ohlins, NGK and K+N Stickers....Standard Can lmao, sorry I thought it was gonna be a nicely modded ZX6R.

LOL, The leather shots had me in stitches, especially when you put on the gloves, clenched fists, oh he's gonna go mad on that bike. Laughing

LOL, I nearly fell off my chair on the traffic light GP with Speed camera sign scene, "ACTION REPLAY" it's a speed camera sign, not a speed camera, you are not instantly hardcore for speeding past a road sign. Razz

Oh yeah, issue with the roundabout, I don't know if this was to show Mr Plod you are a sensible rider, but if you are gonna buy knee sliders, use them. Though in fairness it was probably a bit slow for some kneedown, but saw some other opportunities, however I don't KD on the roads, so can't blame you for not doing it.

Video editing at the end was a bit queer, the sun fade out was about 3 seconds delayed.

Also almost a quarter of the video was credits, generally a bad thing, unless it is a full length feature film.

"BURN RUBBER NOT YOUR SOUL" Oh how that film sucked. Razz

***DISCLAIMER*** This is a slight piss take, so don't take it all to heart and I don't profess to being an uber brilliant video editor or rider. Laughing

fair play man... seriously though, police aren't gonna bother with it, unless I was being seriously anti social! it's meant to have a light hearted tone really.

as with my riding, I've had this bike a month, and WILL improve with time, but don't wanna rush into knee down/wheelies/stunts etc. I love this bike and would be devastated if anything hapened to it! I'm just enjoying riding it at the moment really. so yeah, give it a month or so and we'll see what I can come up with!

appreciate and understand your comments though! It's more of a documentary for myself in the future, something nice to look back on like 10 years down the line.

Like I said at the start, your riding is sound, it's safe which is the main thing.

I dont live in scotland it was on a trip, yea Took it myself, the camera isnt really designed to be used like that, but i got some cool pics while going along, the resolution was a meer 220x130 or summit and had to keep resettin the damn thing everytime i wanted a new shot, put it in my tankbag for easy access but didnt really think about the glove situation.
the camera bobs a bit because wind at 90mph dosent like you waving things about but it was fun all the same Laughing
Im hoping to get a decent camera when i can afford it and strap it down. Thumbs Up

I'm sorry but i'd rather watch a video of my mates mum riding to work on her moped!

The build up is alright, well until the camerman walks around the bike for what seems an eternity. The video replay of the speed camera sign made me piss my pants.
