Anyone got a rough idea of how much shed roofing felt costs? Im doing up my old battered shed and turning it into a little bike workshop and need to get hold of some roofing felt.

Cheers!

Cheap felt known as sarking felt or under felt is about £5/7
Then you have a top felt known as green mineral felt this is a lot thicker and comes with a kind of gravel finish to help prolong life this is between £15/20

Both the above need fixing with either clout nails (galvanized) or a pre bonding agent like a bitchamen (sp)

Then you have imo the best wich is called torch on felt, this is like green mineral to look at but has a bitch under coat on it which when heated with a large blow torch will stick to the wood of the roof its self and make a water tight seal.

Cheers Daz Thumbs Up

So its just a case of nailing the two layers together with clout nails ate end of the felts to the shed, or are they already nailed together before I fix it to the roof?

go lenght ways on the roof even if its a flat roof or a apex roof.

so you start with the bottom length and nail it then you over lap the next lenght to cover the nails uyou just put in, and carry on untill just below the ridge on a apex roof, if it is apex you then do the other side the same and the last peice will lay over the ridge and cover both each sheet you just laid on both sides, Confused

thats sounds a bit confussin doesnt it?

maybe this sounds simpler.
when putting the felt on the roof dont go from side to side with each lenght of felt, instead go from the front of the shed to the back with each lenght of felt.
