check that the active7-smart's capabilitie with the radio.
I'm not sure which models are affected, but not all of them can power the radio, and/or have voice activation on the bikt-to-bike. the Pro7 I have both powers and has voice activation. The Easi 7 I have doens't, and needs a push-to-talk to work too.
I've got Kenwood PMR radios, which are great, but not cheap.

@ feef
I've just bought the 3201 from a place round the corner from me. They wanted £156 + VAT, but after I showed them a screen print of the site above they matched the price....If you don't ask you dont get.
As I got back to the office I saw the usual CBT group that comes past every day at about 2pm. I found them on channel 8 and judging by the street names (i.e. turn left onto...) I could here them about 3 miles away before they started to fade.
Quite impressed! |

Well i took some pictures of my Autocom this morning and brough my camera to work but not the USB cable to attach it to the PC, Doh!
I did notice that it says its an Autocom Kit3 on the box though.
I'll get the pictures posted this evening, but i might be giving my missus a lift to pick her bike up so it could be tomorrow. ____________________ My Bikes in order:- Yamaha RXS100 / Suzuki X7 250 / Yamaha RD350LC / Kawasaki

Thanks for the permission to Highjack NSRSparkie
Here are some pics of my Autocom i'm thinking of selling
I think the whole lot cost me somewhere in the region of £300 new and has been installed on my old ZX7R for a boout two weeks before i decided i didn't like it and took it off (been sat in a cupboard ever since).
Does anyone want to give me £200 for it? ____________________ My Bikes in order:- Yamaha RXS100 / Suzuki X7 250 / Yamaha RD350LC / Kawasaki

The Kit 3 is the autocom active-7-smart which was the middle spec autocom before the current breed took over. It's the same as the one I've just bought (the last one in the shop). I choose the active-7-smart because it has more fetures than the latest base model, and at a reduced price.
Good bit of kit when used with a decent radio (like the Kenwood dark is selling). |
