ok a question I own some Dianese gloves that cost me £160, I've had them for around 18months.
Only used them in summer, probably around 3-4000miles use.

the leather on the palm has warn through/ripped, not on the stiching, but in one of the little panels, its a rip about 1.5inch long, you can tell its not been cut on anything.

I've spoke to a mate who knows someone at dianese distributers, and I have been told to take them back to the shop, if they think its wear n tear its tough luck.

But to me if the damn thing wears through on a highly abrasive rubber grip what the hell would happen in a off!!!!

I paid £30 for some richa gloves that have lasted 18 months, survived 2 offs, covered about 1-200 miles a week, have been used through winter and have been used as slapping equipment. I've got one small rip round the logo on a woven part of the gauntlet.

Who ever said you get what you pay for!?

I'd take 'em back, the leather must have come from a diseased cow.

:edit: Just noticed the time scale, i think you would be hard pushed to get a refund. It'll be put down to wear and tear.

as my shite £3 in a clearance sale Akitos have survived 2 winters , multiple offs at high speed and my sweat eroding them from the inside,

and have changed , before they were barely water proof enough for 5 mins in the rain , but my sweat has reacted with it to make them 100% water proof.

I've got other sets of gloves from HG , but they don't equal the worn in feeling these babies do,

I bought some new gloves last year at the NEC show, i tried on some Dianese gloves and didn't like the bulkiness of them, i'm glad i didn't buy them now!

I ended up buying some Kawasaki gloves and i'm very pleased with them

Mate has some Dainese Trousers (and Jacket, and gloves, and jockstrap etc etc) and they lasted a week before they went back, split crotch. He'll say something about his lunchbox being too big and spilling out, but I prefer the theory that they weren't whipping the kids hard enough in the sweat shops that week and quality slackened.

Being only a week old, taking them back got them sorted, but he had to ride around in jeans for a week whilst he waited. It did put me off the brand (that, and the prices) despite the saleswoman in the shop never bothering to wear a bra and providing twin distractions to take my eyes off the price label.

As per the other "cheap ebay leathers" thread, I'm on the lookout for some leathers, but thinking now that waiting and buying 'end of season' stuff in October/November/December will get me a decent discount.

Were the prices at NEC show much cheaper than normal? I can imagine they'd only be showing the newest stuff and charge top whack...

I'm just thinking that wandering into a bike shop in darkest snowiest december when there's only tumbleweed wandering down the aisles browsing their wares might get me a decent bargain...

I've read the terms of the ratings, after my cock up before and I found that abusive and as it was quoting me, aimed at me, and thats in the ratings guide, as Abusive.

If you meant anything else, go back read your thread, then think how else it could have been worded.

Paid £40 for my Fieldsheer gloves, seem to offer good protection, great summer gloves. These ive had for over the 2 year mark now and have done me through my offroading days (caked in mud, rain, gunge, petrol, oil). And now are my road gloves and have survived through 2 off's and still look and feel brilliant, so much fine control in them!

In my opinion just because you pay £100 for a pair of gloves, it doesnt make them £60 BETTER than the unnamed equivelant, it just makes them £60 more EXPENSIVE.

Rite wrong or indifferent you Karma has been restord by the guy earlier, and the mods should remove the flame Karma I gave you.
As Karma seems important to you, you should be happy.

However I still feel you worded it wrong!, and didn't put thought into how it would be recived.

Maybe weekend warrior means something different in your area, but here its not a nice thing to call anyone without a good reason.
