Confused

i always thought I'd be one of the people who never gets bored of riding but sitting here thinking and this year I've been on one rideout! Shocked

Last year I was out all the time, most sundays and quite a few weekday evenings. This year I just can't be arsed, got no sort of motivation to go out, I used to head out on my own for a few hours when boredom hit but I can't even be arsed with that. I've done cadwell (again) this year and really enjoyed it, no doubt about that but when it comes to going out on the road...

It's not that I consider it dangerous as such, obviously I've never rode as hard as I do on track on the road but do ride fairly spirited, I just feel like it's not fun anymore I guess.

Anyone else had similar?

Well, when it's your only form of transport, then it's pretty much ingrained. Rideout? Whassat? Wink

You need a new bike Shaun. Something totally different to make your riding challenging again.

Yes.

New bikes haven't helped much.

Probably go out off road or to do stunts more than I do rideouts.

I did contemplate a supermoto, slow speed fun maybe, learn to wheelie it and no worries about dropping it but it's just not practical for transporting my ass long distances, motorways would kill me.

A mate of mine is in the same predicament as you Shaun, hes done one trackday at Cadwell and is now bored of riding on the road.

I like to look at road riding and track riding as two completely separate things and i get satisfaction from both for different reasons.

I don't just want to ride fast is what i'm saying, otherwise i would be bored of road riding by now

Is your bike your only transport or do you drive a car as well Shaun?

Think how i feel, i ride a CBR 125, its about as much fun as putting your cock in a vice.

But i agree try a new bike or something, something with a bit of a hooligan elemant to it like KTM!

And keep your current bike as your transport or something.

I've been feeling pretty much the same for the last few months, it's got to the point if given the option I'd give up the road bike and get a decent track bike. Riding fast on the road just doesn't appeal to me.

I've got an XR250 in the garage which is in need of some engine work, hoping once that's fixed I'll be able to enjoy biking (non-track) again.

Maybe you should take a trip to India, hire out a bike there, then come back after a few weeks of pure hell - you'll soon love the British roads again....

I can second that Razz although India was what started me liking bikes.
