Any photoshoppers want to make a tenner?

I'm planning another tattoo. I've got the base image I want, but I need it messed around with.
I have no photoshop skillz.

So. What I want is this picture changed a bit. For ease of use, I'll give you the jargon - the big fluffy things are called totoros. I'd like the 2 girls taken out of the picture, so its just the big totoro sitting on the branch with the small one sitting on its head holding its little stick.
I'd also like the leafy bit on the end of the branch made smaller - just a couple of small tufts of leaves.
For the back ground I'd like the tree in the top right corner removed, and the whole lot faded towards the edges - it'll be a tattoo where the background fades into my skin. Clever eh.
I just want about an inch - 1.5 inches of of background around the totoros.
Oh and I'd like it so the it prints out to be about 10*5 cm, keeping the aspect ratio the same.

This will be going on my right lower back, then planning on getting one of the robots from castle in the sky down my right chest, and keeping them to scale so I can build my upper body into a ghibli world.

And then use it to mesmerise japanese children.

If you get that done it need's to remian reasonably big robby. At least 15cm's high.

Also where are you thinking of getting it done? I have plenty of mags with pics of people's work and lots of other info on places worth checking out.

Planning on getting that done on the side of my lower back, think you're right about the 15cm thing though - photoshoppers take note.

It would need to be in reasonable scale with the robot, because in time I might build it all up to being a ghibli world on my torso. Also thinking of getting a couple of the rattly forest creatures from princess monoke somewhere up high, shoulder blade maybe.

Then chuck in nausicaa, kiki, porco rosso, the dragon guy from spirited away... so many of the ghibli characters can fly.

Then decide I hate it all and spent the rest of my life hating my skin.

Ok, I've done two..

One without the fading around the edges.. Because if the tattoo fella is good enough he'll be able to do that without it being faded on the reference picture..

And one with fading Because... Well you asked for it

And that is scaled in photoshop.. 14cm tall.. but the faded one is slightly taller to accomodate the fade..


Also, if you want any of it changed.. let me know and i'll take care of it

I think you should put this off and find someone who's style you like and talk through the whole idea with them.

Don't necessarily get it done in any different order to what you want to but a little forward planning could make it look better in the long term.

Edit: By this I mean still get that piece done next, but then you and the artist have a farily good idea of what's going to go where in the future.

Theres a place in guildford - Or there used to be anyway - called "Trollspeil" the guy there (Jon nott) is an award winning tattoo artist.. worth checking out.

Also theres a bird called Ruth who does amazing tattoos over at the place in dorking.. but this is only helpful if your'e going to travel to surrey for a tattoo

Guildford/dorking sort of area is reasonable, but I would like closer. Its not nice driving for an hour or more with a fresh tattoo getting rubbed by the seat/seatbelt.

But if theres a really decent tattooist in london/surrey/sussex/kent that is good at this style, then I'll go there.
