Got a letter through the post this morning saying my insurance runs out on the 24th and it's just under a grand to renew it.
I'm leaving the country in just under 3 months and by the end of this one, I won't have the money to ride the bike. I don't even have the money to tax it atm.
I'm gonna be bikeless by the end of this month!
Gonna ring up the insurance company and ask if it's possible to just insure it for the rest of the time I'm here.
I can't imagine not having a bike. I feel sad.
Not really expecting any replies, not sure what you'd say. Just needed to tell people who'd understand.

Please, please don't pay a grand.
Shop around and find it cheaper, some companies will insure you for the three months, or just pay by debit card each month and then cancel it. |

Most insurance companies won't.
And I don't think I'd be using that one if they want £1k anyway .
Although I don't think they do amazing deals for younger riders, try ebikeinsurance.
For a fiver extra per month you can get 'pay as you go' insurance, a month at a time. |

Nothing to stop you from trying other insurers to get a better quote, lots of places also let you pay of monthly. I pay like £56 quid a month for 11 months.
Overtime maybe? stick in a few hours and it soon adds up and you should be able to get by.
Money is shit

I think eBikeinsurance are the best. Really cheap and pay as you go, just cancel on whatever date you want and that's it. Done. ____________________ Veni Vidi Vici |

im with ebike insurance atm on a pay as you go monthly. it costs more than a yearly policy. Mine is £109 a month whereas on an annual policy it'd be About £95.
It works out cheaper i think for me in the long run as my 1st year no claims comes after 8 months.....coinciding nicely with my fault claims i have being more than 3 years old....this should mean comparatively VERY cheap insurance on and annual policy!
but for your situation its perfect, you arent bound by contracts or credit agreements for a year, just take it out and renew it over a 3 month period.

'twas indeed a low side.
Where you watching there when it happened? Don't suppose you saw any 'reason' for it - though think it was just pushing a bit too hard and maybe crossing the tarmac join.
Oh and having getting on double the power of the last race probably helped .
Come and say 'hi' next time you're around. |
