Not sure if I should remove the baffles on my Blue Flame Evo exhaust.

It's one of the triangular ones with the two outlets.

If I remove them (when I figure out how, advice welcome btw) will the increase in BHP be worth it or will it just make mess my fueling up??

How do I do the "whipping" bit and can I whip them back in for MOT's?

There should be a couple of circlips holding them in. Bit of a bugger to remove though, as far as I remember from having a Blueflame twinport on my RVF. Watch your fingers.

May increase a bhp or two, if properly set up. If not, it might flatten the bottom end a little and then 'feel' more powerful when the gas flow increases with revs. Would definately make the bike louder too.

not too sure what circlips are but I assume its that sort of collar bit that tucks in under the lip.

Do I just get a pair of pliers and yank it out? And then yank out the bffle as well??

A circlip: https://www.scootersoriginali.com/osc/images/V08-166.JPG

You'll need some circlip pliers to remove them. The baffle should then come out with a bit of a tug.

I took mine out again today, you can do it with a pair of point nose pliers too if you need to. All you do is put the nose of the pliers into each of the holes and squeeze the circlip and slowly take it out. Be careful not to let go because I did on the first time and almost lost the circlip! Just release it gently, oh, and the top baffle may be a bit tough to get out, but give it a bit of a tug and it will be fine.

By the way, I've got a blue flame exhaust too, just to let you know how I know!

Not sure what the difference from a Bike to a scoot is but mine sounded horrendous. Got baffles, and sounds so much sweeter now.

if u take out the bottom one but leave the top one it'll still be quiet enough to be road legal, and give you a Bhp increase and a lower tone. or so i've heard

I have no idea what your on about Laughing
I just slid the can off (well, wacked it off) and had fiberglass type stuff (what was left of it). Just a metal tubing with holes. Stuffed it full. Its getting a bit noisey again so will check tommorow.
