I have two quotes, £426 from e-bike and £474 from Carole Nash (both TPFT) and I don't know which one to go for. Both have the same features (except european cover is optional on ebike) and I'm tempted just to lump for the cheaper one. The carole nash policy has a £300 excess though, compared to £150 with ebike.

Is TPFT worth it? Carole nash consider the book value of the DR to be £1900, if it gets swiped, will i get that back? Both want 220ish for tpo, sould i just go that route instead?

Also, any one have any other insurers to try, i've had a pop at the major ones...

Im not too sure on insurers as I only rang 3.
First one was 380 TPFT 2nd 360 TPFT 3rd (MCE) I lied and said my best offer I had was 260 TPFT. I got insurance for 220 in the then.
Hate lieing, but saves over 100 squid!

Ok, I think I'll go with them. They have since sweetened the deal by sending me an e-mail offering the legal cover free. Crisis (well, it didn't really start) over.

My da insured the GPZ with ebike for about £80, they seem decent enough price wise.

ebike have a reputation for hasty claims handling within the industry. Bennetts have one of the best reputations of any company, bike or car, and nash are pretty close. try adrian flux, they are on the same sort of par.

Remember, phone Carole Nash and tell them E-Bike gave you a better quote. When I did that they ended up on top, albeit by £2, eventually. Laughing
