I would want it to be quite cheap, otherwise you could get an older one that does pretty much exactly the same thing for a fair bit less money.

Awesome bikes man. Extremely reliable and a whole lot of fun! Great first bike in my opinion!

However...

this is true. My DT had an 'F' plate (1987/88) I think. It was in such good condition and ran perfectly for me. I got it for £500. Admitedly the newer ones look obviously updated, but to be honest there isn't a lot of difference. I think the newer ones come with road tyres stock as well??!! Which is a little weird, because these bikes are also great offroad, although I never really got into that.

Seriously though, great bikes Smile Kept me happy when I was 17!

I have the X instead of the R on an 05 plate and i love it. Very Happy It's fast, fun and very springy, but i haven't tried to wheely it yet because i don't want to fall off and hurt myself lol.

The fuel consumption is poor, but what can you expect from a 2-stroke?

It also looks great because i think it stands out from other supermotos, but i was thinking about getting some extra stickers that come on the 06 model (the ones that go on the exhaust cover thing).

I've had mine since last November and it's very reliable. Only thing i've had go wrong on mine is my horn broke! Nothing major Smile

I hate it when that happens. Usually too much beer.

But yeah the '06 DTX is funky looking bike.
