Not fitted one to a bandit but have to my Thunderace. Immediately noticed bike was more eager to turn and seat about an inch or two higher. Difference for me felt like the bike had turned into a 600 compared to what it was like before.
If you're looking at the ones off ebay they will do the job nicely. Take around 4 days to arrive from germany (a place called autofarm or something like that) and about £25 all in.
Easy job to do - on the 'ace it's a 17mm bolt with a 13mm nut on the other end, top and bottom, pull bolts out. Then you migt need someone to hold bike steady whilst you put a car jack under suspension lower bracket and jack it up so the bolt holes line up, slide bolts through again, tighten up, and prepare to be surprised (hopefully pleasantly) when you get on and ride
Or at least I was anyway
Good luck! |
