Yamaha DT125X (noise)

Hello does anyone know if all the new type DT's have a kind off a "Piston slap" noise when cold starting?

Noticed on my brothers bike its faint but Yamaha says this is normal but sounds too much like a bottom end away to me and at only 90Mi on the clock Confused

Yup all the new DT's get a lot of piston slap when cold, noughing to worry about.

just warm it up Wink

My dt makes a slight noise that dont sound usual from other stuff ive heard, it sounds a bit like a faint "tick" when at idle glad to know that it shouldnt be terminal

Cheers guys just got a bit worried cos as its only around 7:1 comp it would never thought it would be that loose, and fact my other brother got a bike which 4th gear isnt holding and his friend also had speedo trouble on his Yam all less than a week old!

So you can see why i thought the worst Laughing
