hi,on my cr 250 i realised that there was a hell of a lot of play in my subframe and looked to see that the part that the subframe mount gos through has snapped off and the bike was completly unstable to use.
so the question is will it be possible to get it proffesionaly welded and grinded into shape or will i need to buy a new left hand side engine or even a new bottom end as the other one maybe weaken because it would have been put under strain when the other one wasnt there because the actuall mount itself had snapped in half.
sorry about the crap picture it was quite late when i romeved the engine

It will most likly be cheaper to get a new side casting, welding a new one on will be a expensive job and not easy to do it will need tig welding and done by a proper pro. ____________________ 2nd time around CBT: 8/9/11

Cheap 2nd hand one will be more practical and affordable than trying to weld it. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |
