hmmm its there are some cool sports touring bikes, , and will be more to your comfort though, as i am considering the 2006 R6 atm, i have had my fair share of numb bum though  |

yeah i had to delete it
cause i couldnt resize it, the program was crappy..
yeah i think you need to ride long too, cause you have to get to know the bike better....
but im still deciding on what bike to get next also |

It really depends on what you want from a bike.
Mine is a vote for the previously mentioned Z1000 , as that is what I have and it gives me the power and speed to keep up with sportsbikes if i push it, but a nice relaxed riding position, but it is great fun at lower speeds on the twisty roads. Its a great fun bike.
I also agree that a bike will take some time to adapt to but i think you will also know if a bike is just not working for you...that is up to you to decide.
I'd recommend my usual advice though which is to go and get test rides on everything you possibly can. Go into dealerships and try a range of bikes. You will know what you need from a bike and your body will know what feels comfortable so get out and testride bikes until you find what suits you.
Id recommend maybe trying the VFR's and triumph sprint...both nice sports tourers that may be a little more kind to your body than the R6 but not too far removed from the style. ____________________ Dave_ZedDragen - (2005)Z1000
