What do you prefer, left hand corners or right?

Edit: Bollox, forgot the option for all you riding gods who are equally fantastic in either direction. If that's you, just post below and share the secret

There's no difference between them is there? Do people really prefer leaning one way to the other? Wierd!

I've voted for right handers as theres more room between me and the oncoming traffic!! Less chance of being squished by a boyracer cutting across the white lines!!

VOted right hander as I can deck the pegs, roundabout practice, however in the real world it makes no odds really.
But in extremes right handers im more confident.

Left handers for me. More room to run wide if you fuck it up. There MIGHT be a car coming but there is definately a ditch/wall/fence going the other way.

Better for overtaking too. You can approach a left hander while overtaking a line of cars and keep on passing them round the corner due to the increased visability your road position gives. Approaching a right hander from an overtaking position restricts your view of the road ahead.

Yes, actually.

If we're talking proper knee-scraping cornerage, I prefer lefts. I've always had a slightly dicky left hip so hanging off to the right can be uncomfortable while the left isn't.

So Razz

Don't really think about any preference between left or right corners TBH, just about whether I've set up a good or bad line.

Thinking about it though, I remember when I was learning that I had a few seat pinching moments when taking left handers on country roads. Mainly to do with bad position causing bad visibility, and the thought of coming off into oncoming traffic. Sick

However whenever I had the opportunity I often enjoyed twisting the wrist when coming off roundabouts on to NSL roads though, and obviously that's when turning left too Neutral
erm, maybe that wasn't such a good idea at the time, cos my DAS instructor soon nicknamed me Speedy Gonzales Rolling Eyes

No doubts, left handers for me. There just seems to be more room for manoeuver and better visibility.
I have to keep a check on myself with right handers because if I don't then I tend to take the race line rather than the safety line and my head ends up in the decapitation zone Sick

I'm amazed no one rmentioned that Lefts are easier because (in the UK) the road camber will help you around with better grip.

Definitely rights. Thats probably because of the extra practice I get on roundabouts.

Not fussed either way really, probably a bit better at right handers as most tracks are right handed (the only place I really go for it these days)

Depends if we are actually talking sharp straight corners or bends in the road but I dont seem to prefer either one over the other, however, there is a 90 degree left corner that I go round most days which also goes downwards which I detest. I am better at it now as had plenty of practice but still take it with great care, wierd huh Confused
