Alrighty, I've been a busy today trying to sort out the forum's less popular qualities (mainly marking all posts read or booting you out at random) and I'd like you to let me know if it persists in doing it or if I might have fixed it.

Other little bits:
  • You can now see the last time somebody logged in on their profile page, so no more wondering if your PM has been read
  • The Who's Online page now shows everybody who's visited for the current day
  • The front page has been shuffled around a bit
  • More smilies Wink Laughing Smile Very Happy :o Laughing

Let me know if I've broken anything

Hey, good job Korn...

The changes have been subtle but make a big difference (to me anyway!)...is all this standard stuff with the PhpBB package?...or did you add any of your own code?

The original forums was phpBB 2.0 RC-1 which was buggy as hell but worked fine for us, currently it's been updated to phpBB 2.0.0 GOLD which is a stable release, I had to re-write a few things such as pm handling because I didn't like the way they were done in the new release. The "mark all as read" bug isn't yet fixed in the official release but I think I've sorted it on this forum, same for the logout bug and the rare occurances of people's posts vanishing. The "who's visited today" and last login time are mods from phpBB 1.0 which I ported over to the new version and enchanced somewhat (like the list of today's visits on the who's online page).

Hi

One minor bug I noticed. I had a message today, and read that immediatly I came on the site. When I had dealt with that and went to read the forums it had marked most of the posts as read (all but 2). Looks like it marked as read all those that had been in place when I first came on, but left the 2 that had appeared since I came on

All the best

Keith
